BEAVER BANK: A home owner in Timberlea woke to an unexpected site on June 30–an uninvited man asleep on the sofa in the living room of their residence.

Halifax District RCMP spokesman Dal Hutchinson said just prior to 3 a.m. this morning (June 30), a home owner woke up to find an intoxicated man sleeping on their sofa.

“It appears the man entered through an unlocked door, made a snack, and decided to take a nap on the sofa in the living room,” said Cpl. Hutchinson in a release.

He said as a result, the 20-year-old man, from Beaver Bank, is facing charges of Being unlawfully in a dwelling-house; illegal possession; and three counts of breach of probation.

The man is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court on Aug. 1 to answer these charges.
