FALL RIVER: The road paving for Fall River Road and Highway 2 as part of the Fall River water project will begin today, Nov. 12 and continue Nov. 13 weather permitting.

As a result, Halifax Water is advising motorists and pedestrians, as part of the extension of water service to the community of Fall River, Dexter Construction, on behalf of Halifax Water, will have stop and go, single lane traffic from approximately 1397 Fall River Road to the intersection of Highway#2 (see attached map).

The hours of work will be 7am – 4pm, weather permitting. During this work traffic lights at the intersection of Highway#2 and Fall River Road will be shutdown.

The work area for Nov. 13.

On Tuesday, November 13th there will be rolling stop and go, single lane traffic from the intersection of Fall River Road/Highway#2 heading toward Mill Brook Crossing, near Inn on the Lake (see attached map).

Hours of work will be 8pm – 7am, weather permitting. During this work traffic lights at the intersection of Highway#2 and Fall River Road will be shutdown.

Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site to ensure smooth traffic flow around the work zones. On-site personnel will also maintain communication with local residents and businesses to help minimize disruption. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

Motorists should expect delays. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.
