FALL RIVER: Kai Dwyer of Fall River won a Gold medal in the Junior Men’s Trampoline competition at Elite Canada taking place in Calgary, Alberta this past weekend.

This is an excellent showing for Nova Scotia gymnasts at the Elite Canada competition.

“I’m so proud of these athletes. In an event that was more for the experience than anything else, I was pleased that both Carson and Riley were able to make an event final each, especially considering the depth of their field.” said Stewart Gunn, who coaches all four N.S. athletes at Titans Gymnastics and Trampoline Club in Dartmouth. “I was ecstatic for both Kai and Tia as this moment has been a long time coming, over their careers neither has managed to end up on top of the podium in Trampoline.

“This performance speaks to their perseverance and hard work and I couldn’t be happier for them.”
