FALL RIVER: The Lockview High Dragons intermediate girls team has punched their ticket to the provincial championship in Cape Breton.
At the Capital district women’s 5 k championships, the girls took home the banner, advancing to try their chances against the best from the province at the NSSAF’s.
Lockview’s team is comprised of Monica Johnston; Georgia Carr-McEachern; Holly Legere; Lucy Boudreau; Zoey Tilford; Emma Archibald; and Amelie Moulin.
Johnston came fifth in a time of 22:09; Carr-McEachern was ninth in 22:39; and Legare was in 11th with a time of 22:48.
The team is coached by Tracey Knox.
