BEDFORD: The Mount Saint Vincent University Lady Mystics basketball team have completed a perfect season on the court in Atlantic Collegiate Athletic Association (ACAA) play.

Tahlia Jones, a Lockview High alum and former Fall River Rebel, was a member and key contributor to the team’s perfect 23-0 season record, which included the championship tournament. The team even defeated St. F.X.; and Dalhousie AUS teams in play this year.

Jones is a co-captain with the Mystics, alongside Maria Carroll who was the league MVP. Mark Forward, who coaches the team. He was named ACCA coach of the year.

She played in 18 games on the season, averaging 8.8 points per game with 5.0 rebounds per game.

Gwen Ettinger-O’Leary from HERH is also a member of the team.

The Mystics will now head to the CCAA Nationals in Quebec next week.
