WINDSOR JUNCTION: Motorists are being advised that stop-and-go traffic will be in place beginning Oct. 10 and continuing until Oct. 19, weather permitting, near 299 Windsor Junction Road.

In a release, Halifax Water spokesman James Campbell said the company will be undertaking water system maintenance near 299 Windsor Junction Road beginning tomorrow (Tuesday, October 10).

“This work will require stop and go traffic in the area of 299 Windsor Junction Road until Friday October 19,” said Campbell.

The hours of work will be Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Campbell said that traffic control personnel will be on-site to ensure smooth traffic flow through the work zone.

“On-site personnel will also maintain communication with local residents and businesses to help minimize disruption,” he said. “Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.

Motorists are asked to use alternate routes and expect delays.

Campbell said there will be no loss of water service.

“We apologize for any inconvenience this necessary water system maintenance work may cause,” said Campbell.
