Police investigating theft of Pontoon Boat in Wellington

WELLINGTON: RCMP are investigating after a pontoon boat was stolen between July 19020 from a private dock on Grand Lake in Wellington.

In a release, Halifax District RCMP Cpl. Lisa Croteau said that the boat was in the water and attached to a dock on Grand Lake.

Between 8 p.m. on July 19 and 7:30 a.m. on July 20, the boat was taken from a private dock in the back yard of a residence.

“The boat is described as a 23-foot 2018 Bennington triple pontoon boat with an outboard Evinrude 115 horsepower two-stroke motor,” said Cpl. Croteau. “The dock lines were found cut and still attached to the cleats on the dock.”
