Portion of Fall River Road to be closed May 4

FALL RIVER: In a supper-time notice on May 3, HRM announced a portion of Fall River Road would be closed today, Friday May 4, for water project work.

The road closure was requested by Halifax Water so they can install a component of the new watermain system.

Closed will be Fall River Road between Snow Drive and Arthur Joseph Drive from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Local residents will have access from the Arthur Joseph Drive end of Fall River Rd.

The notice says a  detour will be provided to other traffic via Arthur Joseph Drive, Castlewood Drive and Snow Drive. Pedestrian and emergency access will be maintained.

The Laker only found out about the road closure after hearing reports of it and inquiring with HRM.
