FALL RIVER: The Truro Bearcats have acquired a Fall River hockey player in a deal earlier this month.

The Bearcats sent a fourth round pick in the 2020 Maritime Junior A Hockey League draft and future considerations to the St. Stephen Aces for Kyle Sexton.

In 30 games with South Shore last year before being dealt to the Aces, the 19-year-old had four goals and three assists before he was shipped to St. Stephen. He suited up for 21 games with the Aces where he tallied six goals and 12 points.

He came to the Aces with high praise after 54 points during 2016-17 with the Steele Subaru Major midgets.

The coaching staff for the Aces had nothing but good things to say when they acquired him, saying he was a proven scorer.

Now, the Bearcats will hope he can bring that to their squad.
