FALL RIVER: It was a close game, but in the end the Georges P. Vanier Vipers pulled off the four-set victory beating Harold T. Barrett Junior High Bulldogs three sets to one.

The Vipers got off to a rocky start in the first set, getting behind 24-16 at one point before scoring the next 10 points for the 26-24 victory.

In the second set, the first 10 points were scored by the ball not making it over the net or by being short when it did. That had the game tied 5-5.

The third and fourth set were more even and consistent play, as the Vipers went on to the win, but not without a fight from a game Bulldogs squad.
