FALL RIVER: Contrary to rumours some have heard in the community and told The Laker about, the Fall River water project is not already over-budget.
Councillor Steve Streatch was responding to a question from The Laker after they were told by a couple of residents of what they heard regarding the budget.
So to get an answer, The Laker asked Councillor Streatch during his monthly sit-down interview, this time at The Turtleback Tap & Grill on Nov. 6.
“I don’t even know how that would be determined,” he said. “We only just started the project.
“Usually budgets are calculated when the project is finished. I have no indication that anything is over-budget.”
He said it would be premature for anyone to indicate that the project was over-budget.
