FALL RIVER: No one was injured in a two-vehicle collision that caused a traffic delay on Highway 2, near St. John’s United Church in Fall River on the afternoon of Oct. 9.

Halifax District RCMP spokesman Cpl. Dal Hutchinson said police were alerted to the crash at 3 p.m. EHS and Station 45 Fall River also responded. Bystanders helped with traffic control and checking on those involved.

According to Cpl. Hutchinson, a 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix with several occupants—some who were high school students— was turning right into the church with their signal light on when they were struck from behind by a second vehicle, a 2010 Buick Enclave. Both vehicles were travelling in the same direction.

“There was significant damage done to both vehicles,” said Cpl. Hutchinson.

He added no charges will be forthcoming from the incident.
