Thieves hit vehicles in Fletchers Lake, Wellington

FLETCHERS LAKE: A string of car thefts hit the Wellington/Fletchers Lake area between Nov. 17 and Nov. 21.

The spree included seven theft from vehicles; two theft of vehicles; and an alleged assault.

On Nov. 17, police received a report of a theft from vehicle on Cora Lane in Fletchers Lake.

A report of a theft from a vehicle was reported from a second vehicle at another residence on Cora Lane in Fletchers Lake was reported to RCMP on Nov. 19.

A vehicle was broken into on Nov. 19 on Brook Street in Fletchers Lake.

RCMP received a report of a theft from vehicle on Jeffrey Lane in Wellington on Nov. 20.

Police were advised by a resident on Sunnylea Road in Wellington that their vehicle had been broken into on Nov. 20.

A third report of a theft from vehicle was filed with RCMP from a residence on Cora Lane in Fletchers Lake on Nov. 21.

RCMP received a report of a theft of vehicle from a residence on Holland Road in Fletchers Lake on Nov. 20. This incident involved two youth who after stealing the vehicle crashed it into the sign of a local gas station, where they were apprehended. Police have since charged the two youth, who can’t be identified as they are young offenders.

A theft from vehicle on Pratt & Whitney Drive in Goffs, by the Halifax Airport, was reported to police ion Nov. 17.

RCMP are investigation an alleged assault that took place on Concord Avenue in Fall River Village, Fall River, on Nov. 18.
