FALL RIVER: The U-14 Soccer Nova Scotia girls team captured the Atlantic championship on the July 7-9 weekend in Charlottetown, P.E.I., taking home the gold medal.

Nova Scotia did it style completing the weekend tournament with an unblemished 4-0 record.

The team, which includes several players from the Fall River and area, picked up 4-0 win over N.B. (Ellie Lancaster had the shutout); 2-1 over host P.E.I.; and 3-1 over NL.

In the championship, Olivia Jack’s goal was the game winner as N.S. edged NL 2-1.
