MILLER LAKE ROAD: Attention motorists, pedestrians and cyclists, Dexter Construction, on behalf ofHalifax Water will be undertaking a water main extension project on Miller Lake Road beginning on or about Tuesday, May 21. During this work there will be stop and go traffic from the intersection of Highway#2/Miller Lake Road to approximately 138 Miller Lake Road. Pedestrian and cyclist access will be maintained. Hours of work will be 7 a.m. – 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, with evenings and weekends as required. The work is scheduled for completion approximately Aug. 16. There will be occasional lane drops on Highway#2 near Miller Lake Road to allow for connection to the water main. Advance notice of this work will be provided. Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site to ensure smooth traffic flow around the work zone On-site personnel will maintain communication with local residents and businesses to help minimize disruption. Motorists are asked to use alternate routes and expect delays. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.
