FALL RIVER: A woman that creates inspiring intentional jewellery for the modern woman is among the many from the area nominated for an RBC Canadian Women Entrepreneurship Award.
Sara Kelly Designs was one of the local entrepreneurs who received notification recently of the accolade. She is also a Multi-Passionate Entrepreneur + Heart-Based Business Consultant.
On her website Kelly, of Fall River, says her mission is to spread love and light through products that spark joy and support self-introspection. She also has a consulting website, www.sarakelly.ca.
On the consulting side, she helps other entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs gain confidence and clarity in their business.
For the design side, she creates Mala Beads and intentional jewellery that are Handmade with semiprecious gemstones and crystals at her home in Fall River, NS.
The RBC Canadian Women Entrepreneur Awards is the premier national awards program celebrating the achievements of the most successful in this inspiring group.
For 28 years, the awards have shone a spotlight on Canada’s most accomplished and impactful women who have demonstrated excellence — from economic growth to social change, from local to global reach, across multiple sectors.
Kelly spoke about the nomination.
“I’m excited and humbled to have been nominated,” said Kelly. “This is a great honour to have been selected alongside so many other businesswomen.”
She has been in business for 10 years. Kelly has held workshops at other local businesses run by women, such as Good Day Café.
According to her website’s About Us section, jewellery making has been a part of her life for as long as she can remember. Although her style and process continue to grow and evolve alongside her life, her creations are true inspired work and have always been born from a place of love.
Kelly spoke about the numerous women entrepreneurs nominated from the Fall River area.
“It’s so nice that there’s so many from our small community who are being recognized as nominees,” she said. “I’m just humbled to be among them.”
