FALL RIVER: HRM has issued a traffic advisory for the Fall River on Dec. 5 for the Lions Christmas Parade.
The parade will go on Lockview Road to Fall River Road and along Hwy 2 to Fall River Shopping Centre (Shoppers end) beginning at 5:30 p.m. The road closure is anticipated to run til 6:30 p.m.
Traffic delays are expected as the parade travels through the community.
The parade will begin at Lockview High School. It will proceed south on Lockview Road, east on Fall River Road, south on Highway 2 before turning left into the Sobeys parking lot.
The event will be escorted, and traffic controlled by Halifax Regional Police. There will be street closures for the parade route and some adjacent streets, beginning at 5:30 p.m..
Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.
