BEAVER BANK: Drop-in Pfizer outreach clinics provided by Nova Scotia Health are coming to the Beaver Bank and Lower Sackville areas, as well as other communities in the Central Zone, over the next week.
NSH said the clinics in Beaver Bank will be held Dec. 31 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Beaver Bank-Kinsac Community Centre at 1583 Beaver Bank Road. It is for ages 12-plus offering first and second doses.
The one in Lower Sackville is at Acadia Hall at 650 Sackville Drive in Lower Sackville on Jan. 6 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. It is for ages 12-plus offering first, second, and third (if eligible) doses.
The clinics are also open at the following locations:
Dartmouth North Public Library (105 Highfield Park Dr., Dartmouth) Thursday, Dec. 30 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Kids’ clinic ages 5 to 11 only for first and second doses.
Parents and Children Together Resource Centre (Suite 102-1114 Cole Harbour Rd., Cole Harbour) Tuesday, Jan. 4 from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. Kids’ clinic ages 5 to 11 only for first and second doses.
Family Resource Centre of West Hants (61 Morison Dr., Windsor) Wednesday, Jan. 5 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Kids’ clinic ages 5 to 11 only for first and second doses.
The North Grove (140-6 Primrose St., Dartmouth) Friday, Jan. 7 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Ages 12+ offering first, second and third (if eligible) doses.
Mount Saint Vincent University (166 Bedford Hwy., Halifax) Friday, Jan. 7, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Ages 12+ offering first, second and third (if eligible) doses.
You can receive a booster dose of COVID-19 vaccine 168 days after you’re fully vaccinated if you’re:
- 50 or older.
- a frontline health care worker or community health care worker who works directly with patients regardless of the interval between your first and second dose.
- a designated caregiver for a resident of a long-term care facility regardless of the interval between your first and second dose.
- immunocompromised and received a third dose.
- a resident of a long-term care facility.

Please bring your health card number and ID (if you have it) to the vaccine clinic. Due to limited space, we ask that only one support person accompany each child.
For those with mobility challenges, special needs, and/or have significant anxiety about needles, please notify clinic team members on site.
Transportation to and from vaccine appointments can be organized through Rural Rides for $5 return. Visit https://ruralrides.ca/ to find the nearest provider. Transportation must be booked at least 24 hours in advance.
All eligible Nova Scotians are encouraged to get vaccinated against COVID-19 as soon as possible.
