WAVERLEY: It was a entertaining hometown performance by Mo Kenney as part of the Summer Concert Series at the Waverley Village Green.

A big crowd turned out to see the pride of Waverley perform in their own community, with many friends and fellow neighbours coming to the Village Green on a nice Tuesday night, Aug. 26.

Kenney was the second of three big nights for the Summer Concert Series put on at the Village Green, thanks to community businesses and funding from Heritage Canada.

Emstuu was the opener, performing for about half an hour.

The Summer Concert series wrapped up on Thursday night, Aug. 28.

There were food vendors on site to fill the crowd’s appetite.

Mo spoke to The Laker News about performing in their home community and gave advice to aspiring young musicians.
