LANTZ: Hockey fans in East Hants will have a chance to see some familiar NHL names take to the ice when the NHL Legends Celebrity Hockey Tour makes a stop at the East Hants Sportsplex this winter.
The one-night-only event is set for Friday, Dec. 4 at 6:30 p.m., with former NHL stars set to face off against local players on home ice.
Brought to the community by the Municipality of East Hants, the event promises to be a family-friendly night of hockey, entertainment and plenty of NHL memories.
The NHL Legends roster currently includes several players who enjoyed lengthy careers in the league, including:

Brian Skrudland
Arron Asham
Rich Sutter
Gary Leeman
Sergio Momesso

Adding to the entertainment will be Liam Maguire, who will serve as the game announcer.
Maguire is known as one of Canada’s unofficial hockey trivia experts and is expected to bring plenty of personality and hockey knowledge to the evening.
The event will also provide an opportunity for local players to share the ice with former NHL stars, although details on the local roster have yet to be announced.
Tickets will be available soon, with sponsorship opportunities, local player announcements and additional bonus events expected to be released in the coming weeks.
