ENFIELD: The East Hants Nationals U14 AA girls hosted the Baseball Nova Scotia provincial championships this past weekend.

The tournament was delayed by almost a month from its original scheduled dates due to rain, and then finding a weekend when all teams wouldn’t be hindered with the girls away at other tournaments, like the Atlantics.

While the Nationals didn’t advance to championship Sunday, they put in a great effort for a first year team.

The Laker News stopped by Friday for the tournament opening game for the Nats as they played Tri County Rangers, a team that is also in amongst the communities we cover here at The Laker News.
