FALL RIVER: On Nov. 27, Ash Lee Jefferson School officially opened phase one of their outdoor classrooms.

The Parent Teacher Organization and school Administration submitted a TD Friends of the Environment Foundation (TD FEF) to fund the project. It is a national charity that funds environmental projects across Canada.

The foundation awarded Ash Lee Jefferson $7,000. The school’s PTO fund-raised additional monies to support the completion of phase one of the project.

Pictured are representatives on hand at the ribbon cutting officially opening phase one. Among those are: two employees of a TD branch in our area (Bedford) Carla Sala (Financial Advisor) and Julien Abboud (Manager Customer Experience); Lynn Mills, Principal; Jennifer Cholock, Vice Principal; and Deanne Van Wageningen, Primary teacher, who were joined by ALJ PTO president, Shannon Harding, PTO parents, and a primary class for the official opening.
