ENFIELD: Two local events held to celebrate Canada Day in East Hants have been impacted by COVID19 and the health order surrounding it.

In Enfield/Elmsdale, King Lion Perry Colley confirmed the club will not be holding Canada Day celebrations this summer due to COVID19.

Meanwhile, the Hay Days Committee in Shubenacadie announced that because of COVID19, Hay Days would not be able to happen as it has in the past.

In a post on their Facebook page, they’re asking the community to decorate your yards and homes to Celebrate Canada Day in a big way.

“Even if we can’t come together in large groups we can have fun making Shubenacadie the most Patriotic Canadian Village in NS.,” the post said.

  •  Take the weekend of June 12-14 to create your masterpiece
  •  We would like to try to have as many homes and Businesses decorated by June 15 as we can – so that we have a full two weeks of Celebration for July 1st…
