LANTZ: A suspect has been arrested out of province for not complying with court orders, according to East Hants RCMP.

S/Sgt. Michael Balmaceda said that East Hants RCMP’s Street Crime Enforcement team (SCEU) was instrumental in the arrest of the offender who was not complying with court orders.

The man, charged with numerous violent and firearms offences, was found to have provided a false address to the courts on his bail release.

When East Hants officers discovered the man did not reside at the stated address in Lantz, a warrant of arrest was quickly applied for.

S/Sgt. Balmaceda said the suspect was located on PEI. Charlottetown Police Service arrested the man.

He was returned to Nova Scotia to face additional charges of failing to comply with a court order.
