Hants County man faces impaired driving charges

MOUNT UNIACKE: A 25-year-old man has been charged with impaired driving after police stopped him in Mount Uniacke on Nov. 6.

East Hants RCMP S/Sgt. Cory Bushell said that officers intercepted a suspected impaired driver while on patrol.

The incident was mentioned in the weekly From the Cruiser info provided to The Laker News.

“The driver exhibited signs of impairment and was taken back to the police detachment to provide samples of his breath,” said S/Sgt. Bushell.

The man, from Hants County, blew more than twice the legal limit.

He was charged with impaired driving and is expected to appear in court at a later date.
