ELMSDALE: Friends and family of a well-known community supporter will be giving back the only way they know how on Nov. 7.

The late Susie McDonell was an avid supporter of the Caring & Sharing Angel Tree Food Bank in the Corridor area of East Hants, so it only makes sense that in her memory friends and family would continue that.

On Nov. 7, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. a drive-through food drive in Susie’s honour will be held at the parking lot at Curly’s in Enfield. The event will be complying with all COVID protocols.

Residents are being encouraged to collect food donations from their own bubble and make one delivery to the drop off the donation towards the food drive. All food donations will be taken to the Caring & Sharing food bank.

McDonell was known for her exuberance and passion, which went well along with her talent, generosity, and spirit.

She was a continuous supporter of the Caring & Sharing food bank, even when she was sick in 2019, she ensured one family had a Christmas to remember.

Organizers said monetary donations will be accepted and passed along to the Angel Tree food bank.
