TRURO HEIGHTS: A man from Sipekne’katik and two others, from Bayside and Truro, are facing charges after Colchester County District RCMP arrested them in relation to a home invasion in Truro Heights.

Police said that on October 3, at approximately 3:30 a.m., RCMP officers responded to a report of an assault at a residence on Parkwood Dr.

Officers learned that four people had forced their way into the home while the residents were inside. One of the women, armed with a knife, threatened to stab the residents if the two men accompanying her weren’t allowed entry.

The women left shortly afterward, leaving the men at the residence. The men then assaulted the residents, a 27-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman, before fleeing in a Hyundai Elantra.

Both victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

A 34-year-old man from Bayside and a 19-year-old woman from Truro are also facing charges in relation to the incident.

The two are scheduled to appear in court on December 16.

Police say the fourth person was released without charges.
