Woman charged with Health Protection Act violations in Stewiacke

STEWIACKE: A 45-year-old Stewiacke woman has been charged with a series of breaches of the Health Protection Act related to COVID19Stewiacke, the CAO of the Town of Stewiacke announced in a release.

According to Dale Bogle, the woman had refused to remain isolated for 14 days. The matter was referred to the RCMP.

“This has been an ongoing matter for the past number of days,” said Bogle in the release.

The investigation is ongoing and further charges are expected.

“The health and safety of the majority of the residents is paramount,” said Bogle. “It’s about protecting the community.”
