WINDSOR JUNCTION:A temporary water shut down will take place beginning today July 5, from 8 a.m. until the water repair is complete.
In a release, Halifax Water says crews will be completing subsequent repairs to the water main near the intersection of Cobequid Road and Glendale Drive. This work will take begin at 7:00 AM and will continue until late Sunday evening or early Monday morning.
Those customers who were impacted by the water shut down during the repair on Friday and Saturday may experience low or no water pressure again during this repair.
Customers in the communities impacted previously, and those customers in the communities listed below may wish to plan for the temporary water service disruption and draw water from their taps in advance of the disruption for consumption, cooking, handwashing, etc.
Customers in the communities of Fall River, Waverley, Windsor Junction, Capilano, Miller Lake, Frame, Silverside, Lakeview & Lower Sackville (Cobequid Road – Glendale Drive Outbound) are currently subject to a precautionary boil water advisory.

Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site to help manage the flow of traffic. Lane drops will be put in place this evening approaching and through the intersection to protect the crew members and the public. Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.
For the safety of work crews and residents, please maintain social/physical distancing requirements of at least 2 metres/6 feet.
