LOWER SACKVILLE: Halifax District RCMP are asking for public help to identify the driver of an older model silver Ford Ranger pickup truck involved in a hit-and-run collision in Lower Sackville on March 14 just before 9 p.m.
At approximately 9 p.m., Halifax District RCMP was dispatched to the collision. The victim’s vehicle had been stopped at a red light at the intersection of Sackville Dr. and Beaver Bank Rd., when it was rear-ended by the suspect’s vehicle. The suspect’s vehicle then backed up and fled onto Douglas Ave.
The collision caused damage to the victim’s vehicle, but there were no reported injuries.
The front of the suspect’s vehicle may be damaged due to the collision.
A witness reported that the suspect’s vehicle, an older model Silver Ford Ranger pickup truck, had the license plate GLD917. That license plate does not exist but it is possible that the suspect’s vehicle has a similar license plate number.
Anyone with information on this collision or the suspect vehicle is asked to contact the Lower Sackville RCMP detachment at 902-244-7208.
