FALL RIVER: A letter has been emailed home to parents/guardians of students that attend Georges P. Vanier Junior High regarding a COVID-19 exposure.
The letter home said the exposure is said to have occurred on Dec. 16 and Dec. 17 at the Fall River-based school.
“Public Health is now working to identify and notify students and staff who may have been exposed as a close contact,” the letter from principal said. “If you are a close contact, you will receive a separate letter from the school shortly.”
The letter urges all parents/guardians and students to continue to review the COVID-19 Daily Checklist each day to closely monitor your health and the health of those you care for.
“We understand you may feel anxious over the coming days. It is natural to want to know if your child may have been exposed to the virus,” the letter home said.
“Public Health officials will inform those who are at risk of the next steps, but to protect the privacy of students and staff, other details including names, will not be released.”
