ELMSDALE: RCMP responded on July 19 to a report of a shoplifting incident at the Elmsdale NSLC.
S/Sgt. Cory Bushell, with East Hants RCMP, said police were informed two males had stolen some liquor from the NSLC.
“An immediate patrol was made resulting in the arrest of an 18-year-old Ontario male and recovery of the liquor,” said S/Sgt. Bushell.

He said officers determined the young man had just moved to the area with his family.
S/Sgt. Bushell said store declined to lay charges in this instance
Police issued the suspect a Protection of Property Order not to return to the store.
