FLETCHERS LAKE: Young Fletchers Lake figure skater Abby Behan came home from the PEI Summer Skate Invitational with a bronze medal.
Behan, who skates with the Sackville Skating Club, earned third place in the Star 5 Over 13 Jump program at the summer competition in Prince Edward Island.
The result was a strong showing for the young skater as she continues to develop her skills on the ice.
Behan is coached by Toni and Kim (no last names provided).
Her bronze was one of several local connections at the PEI Summer Skate Invitational, highlighting the strong figure skating talent developing in the Halifax-area communities.
