OYSTER BED BRIDGE, P.E.I.: It was a big night for drivers from the Fall River and East Hants areas Saturday at Oyster Bed Speedway, with local racers claiming three of the top four positions and five spots inside the top 10 in the Mr. Lube + Tires 150.
Leading the way was Enfield’s Jarrett Butcher, who captured his first Fort Garry Industries Pro Stock Tour victory of the 2026 season after a dramatic and controversial finish in front of a packed Oyster Bed Speedway crowd.
Butcher made a well-timed move on the final lap to get past hometown favourite Robbie MacEwen of Sherwood, P.E.I., and held off a late challenge from fellow Enfield driver Gage Gilby to take the checkered flag.
The pass for the lead did not sit well with many in attendance, however, as the large hometown crowd made its feelings known after Butcher took the victory away from the popular Island driver on the final circuit.
Gilby finished second, giving Enfield drivers a one-two finish, while MacEwen crossed the line third.

Windsor Junction rookie Ayden Christensen continued his impressive season with a fourth-place finish, putting three drivers from the Fall River and East Hants area in the top four.
Christensen was also recognized with the Eastlink Fastest Lap Award and was named the Lucas Oil Rookie of the Race.
The strong local showing continued further down the running order, with Stevie Lively of Shubenacadie finishing ninth and Colton Noble of Nine Mile River rounding out the top 10.
For Butcher, the win was a major breakthrough and came after a dramatic 150 laps of racing that ended with one of the most talked-about moves of the night.
He also won one of the Atlantic Tiltload heat races earlier in the evening, along with Tanton Wooldridge of Summerside.

The Fort Garry Industries Pro Stock Tour now returns to Nova Scotia for the FGI 150 at Riverside International Speedway in James River on Saturday, Sept. 12.
They will be there as part of the Summer Sizzler benefitting Christmas Daddies. Racing begins at 5 p.m.
