ELMSDALE: Customers at Sobeys in Elmsdale are seeing renovation work underway inside the store, with changes taking place in one department as well as the former Chill Street space.
The work is being carried out by Ryson Construction of Dartmouth.
Sobeys says the renovations are expected to be completed in early 2027.
“Sobeys Elmsdale is undergoing renovations, and we expect those will be complete in early 2027,” said Caitlin Gray, an external communications advisor with Sobeys.

The company says the project is part of an effort to improve the customer experience at the Elmsdale location.
“We’re always looking for ways to better serve customers and will welcome Elmsdale customers into the refreshed space soon,” Gray said.
The renovation work is currently contained within the store, including the area formerly occupied by Chill Street.
Sobeys has not provided further details on what the refreshed space will look like or what changes customers can expect once the work is complete.
