FALL RIVER: The Lockview High School girls volleyball team is building momentum, winning three straight matches to improve its record to 4-1 on the season.
The latest victory came Tuesday, Oct. 7, when Lockview defeated Sackville High School in straight sets.
Lockview dominated the opening two sets, winning 25-12 and 25-12, before edging Sackville 26-24 in a much closer third set to complete the sweep.
Bridget Blackmore was named player of the game for her performance against Sackville.
The winning streak began Sept. 28, when Lockview hosted Bayview and earned a three-set victory.
The team took the first set 25-19 before pulling away with convincing 25-12 and 25-11 wins in the second and third sets.
Megan Mader earned player-of-the-game honours.

Lockview continued its strong play Oct. 5 against visiting Woodlawn High School, earning a four-set victory.
The teams battled through a tight opening set, with Lockview coming out on top 25-22.
Woodlawn responded with a narrow 26-24 win in the second set, but Lockview regained control to take the third 25-19 before closing out the match with a decisive 25-9 victory in the fourth.
Kayla Breski was named player of the game against Woodlawn.
With three consecutive victories, including two straight-set wins, Lockview has improved to 4-1 and is showing plenty of early-season promise as the high school volleyball campaign continues.
