HALIFAX: There are still a few days left for Nova Scotians to have their say on next year’s budget.
The Building Our Budget Together consultation will close Friday, October 16.
People can share their thoughts by building their own budgets online at: https://yourbudget.novascotia.ca.
“We want to hear from as many Nova Scotians as possible during this consultation,” said Twila Grosse, Minister of the Public Service Commission and Chair of the independent budget consultation advisory committee.
“If you haven’t shared your thoughts already, it’s not too late.”

The consultation launched September 11 and has included six in-person sessions across the province, along with three virtual sessions. Feedback shared through the process will be considered as the Province prepares the 2027-28 budget.
Quick Facts:
– this is the broadest pre-budget consultation done in Nova Scotia to date
– Global Public Affairs was hired to run the in-person and virtual consultation sessions; the remainder of the work was done in-house by civil servants
– a What We Heard report on the consultation will be published before the 2027-28 budget is released.
