Aggravated assault charges laid by HRP

HALIFAX: A 21-year-old woman was to appear in court on Tuesday in relation to assault-related charges, police said in a release.

Halifax Regional Police said that on October 2 at approximately 11:30 p.m., police responded to a report of a stabbing on Dacosta Row in Halifax.

Upon arrival, officers located a 17-year-old youth suffering from a stab wound.

The victim was transported to the hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

On October 4, officers located and arrested the suspect without incident.

The victim and suspect are known to each other.

Alisa Corcoran, 21, was scheduled to appear in Halifax provincial court on Oct. 6.

She is facing charges of aggravated assault and breach of probation order (x2).
