Beaver Bank, Fall River hockey players named to final roster for Lindsay Surge

DARTMOUTH/WINDSOR JUNCTION: The Lindsay Surge have a distinct Fall River/Beaver Bank flavour to it for this coming hockey season.

The Surge are part of the Maritime Major Girls Hockey League (MMGHL) and play their home games out of the RBC Centre in Dartmouth (according to Google).

It’s boundaries for players includes the Metro East Female Hockey Association, alongside Bedford and Sackville.

The team recently announced its roster for the upcoming hockey season, and seven names from the Fall River/Beaver Bank/Lower Sackville area heard their names called as making the Surge.

Those players making the team from the local area (that we are aware of and were provided) include:

Beaver Bank goalie Becca LeBlanc; forwards Alina Gould of Beaver Bank; Fall River’s Rachel Hartnell; defenceman Izzy Kim of Fall River, and Nora Hartnell, also of Fall River.

Jorja Murray Chapman of the Fall River area is the team’s second goalie behind LeBlanc.

Defenceman Makenzie Rossong, who lives in Lower Sackville area but attends Lockview, is also on the squad The Laker News was told.
