WINDSOR JUNCTION: A tough tournament result didn’t stop 16-year-old Fionn Kelly from making a big impression on the national stage.

The Windsor Junction goaltender was named to the Founders Cup First-Team All-Star squad following the 2026 Canadian Junior B Lacrosse Championship, held Aug. 16-22 at TD Station in Saint John, N.B.

It is a significant accomplishment for Kelly, who was playing in his rookie season of Junior lacrosse with the Sackville Wolves.

Kelly was one of five players selected to the tournament’s First-Team All-Star team, earning the goaltender position.

He was joined by defenders Trace Hill of the Akwesasne Thunder and James Reif of the Seneca War Chiefs, along with forwards Brian “BB” Freeman of the Seneca War Chiefs; Chase Hemmerling-MacLean of the Port Coquitlam Saints; and Bleyton Hopps-Thompson of Akwesasne Thunder.
