BRIDGEWATER: Police and Fire investigators in Bridgewater have located a deceased person within a fire scene.
Based on the current evidence and circumstances investigators believe the deceased is the unaccounted-for resident from the structure fire.
Police cannot release further details until they are positively identified, and family is appropriately notified, BFD and Fire partners are diligently working on any remaining risks.

The fire scene has been transferred to property representatives.
The road is currently not passable due to fire debris. Public Works will clear the street and the street will reopen for public use by 8 a.m. on Friday morning.
Police are asking residents continue to avoid the area until the street is reopened.

Once the building is safe for investigators, BPS will continue their investigation with the Office of the Fire Marshall and Nova Scotia Medical Examiners Office.
The previously identified road closures will stay in effect until Police can release.

The fire was cleared and scene turned over to police at 11:07 p.m. on June 10.
The investigation into the cause of the fire is still underway. At this time, the cause remains undetermined.
The NS Medical Examiners Office is actively attempting to confirm the identity of the deceased.
