LOWER SACKVILLE/HRM: A 23-year-old New Glasgow man was charged with impaired driving after an collision near Goffs on Hwy 102 on Aug. 15.
Police say that at approximately 12:45 a.m. on August 15, officers responded to a report of a Hyundai Kona that had left the roadway on Hwy. 102 near Goffs.
Officers located the driver, who exhibited signs of impairment.
The driver refused to identify himself and was arrested for obstruction and impaired driving.
The man was transported to the Lower Sackville RCMP Detachment, where he provided a breath sample that registered 170 mg%.
The 23-year-old New Glasgow man was issued a seven-day licence suspension and a summary offence ticket for driving while revoked.

At approximately 1:25 a.m., officers responded to a report of a GMC Sierra that had struck two parked vehicles in the 1300 block of Beaver Bank Rd.
Investigators learned the truck was travelling south on Beaver Bank Rd. when it left the roadway, crossed several residential front yards and struck a tree.
After hitting the tree, the GMC Sierra collided with a parked Toyota RAV4, which was pushed into a parked Mazda 3.
The driver exhibited signs of impairment and failed a roadside breath test.
The 49-year-old Lower Sackville man was arrested for impaired driving and transported to the Lower Sackville RCMP Detachment, where he provided two breath samples that each registered 120 mg%.
He was later released and is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court at a later date.

At approximately 6 p.m. on August 15, an officer conducting speed enforcement on Hwy. 107 in Musquodoboit Harbour observed a Honda Civic travelling above the posted speed limit and initiated a traffic stop on Little River Dr.
The driver was required to provide a roadside breath sample.
Despite multiple attempts, the driver failed to provide a suitable sample for analysis.
The 31-year-old Head of Jeddore man was arrested for failing to comply with a roadside demand. He is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court at a later date.
The man was also issued four summary offence tickets for speeding, failing to maintain required insurance, operating an unregistered vehicle and violating the zero-alcohol condition of his driver’s licence.

On August 16, at approximately 12:25 a.m., officers responded to a report of a driver passed out in a vehicle in a restaurant drive-thru in the 500 block of Sackville Dr.
Upon arrival, officers located a man in the driver’s seat of a Dodge Ram. Before attempting to wake him, officers deployed a tire deflation device in front of the vehicle.
After being awakened and speaking briefly with officers, the driver drove over the device and fled westbound on Sackville Dr.
Through the investigation, officers identified the driver as 42-year-old Jeremy Hunter of Lower Sackville.
At approximately 3:55 a.m., officers attended a residence on Spinner Ave. in Lower Sackville and arrested Hunter.Â
He is charged with Impaired Operation of a Conveyance, Dangerous Operation of a Conveyance, Obstruction and Flight from Police. He was released on conditions.
Hunter is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court on September 29.

Later that morning, at approximately 1:15 a.m., an officer located an Audi S3 that had left the roadway and sustained damage on the Ingramport Connector.
The driver was outside the vehicle when the officer arrived and exhibited signs of impairment.
The driver failed a roadside breath test and was transported to the Tantallon RCMP Detachment, where he provided two breath samples registering 180 mg% and 170 mg%.
The 20-year-old Lakeside man was released and is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court at a later date.
Impaired driving remains a leading cause of serious collisions and fatalities on Nova Scotia roadways. Anyone who suspects a driver is impaired is encouraged to call 911 immediately.
