ENFIELD: East Hants RCMP members were called out on 64 calls for service from across the municipality during the period of Dec. 1 to Dec. 8.

Here are a few highlights, as provided by S/Sgt. Cory Bushell:

On December 6, an officer noticed a vehicle swerving in the road and conducted a stop to check for impairment.

The driver was found to be sober but was driving with a revoked license.

The 34-year-old female from the Shubenacadie area was charged. She will be appearing in court at a later date.

RCMP responded to a complaint about damage to property on Dec. 6 at the Enfield Water Treatment Plant.

Police say the caller told them youth who were on an ATV were tearing up the grass.

Officers located the youth responsible and escorted them home to their parents.

Arrangements are being made by the youth and their parents to repair the damage done.

On December 6, officers responded to the Nine Mile River area (Matheson Court) where multiple vehicles had been rummaged through and items stolen.

The thief then entered a home, found the keys to the homeowner’s vehicle and attempted to leave with it.

Police say the suspect made it out the driveway but ended up crashing into the ditch across the street.

The investigation continues.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the East Hants RCMP at 902-883-7077.
