URBANIA: A 26-year-old Cole Harbour man has been charged with impaired driving following an incident on April 24 in Urbania.

East Hants RCMP S/Sgt. Cory Bushell said officers on patrol intercepted a prohibited driver on Hwy 215 near Urbania, a small community that one travels through on their way to Maitland from Shubenacadie.

“The driver exhibited signs of intoxication,” said S/Sgt. Bushell in his weekly From the Cruiser information piece.

“He was given the demand to provide samples of his breath, to which he refused.”

S/Sgt. Bushell said the man will appear in court at a later date on charges as a result of the incident.
