NINE MILE RIVER: RCMP responded to a motor vehicle collision in Nine Mile River on Oct. 28, resulting in impaired driving charges.

In a report as part of From the Cruiser column, East Hants RCMP S/Sgt. Cory Bushell said police responded after receiving a complaint of a possible impaired driver who had run off the road.

The 46-year-old man was found seated in the large commercial vehicle he was driving in the ditch.

S/Sgt. Bushell said the man was taken to the detachment in Enfield for a breathalyzer sample and blew two-and-a-half times the legal limit.

The man was released to appear in court at a later date to face impaired driving charges.
