Elmsdale accident results in impaired driving charges

ELMSDALE: A 78-year-old man is facing impaired driving charges after a motor vehicle collision in a retail parking lot in Elmsdale on Oct. 29.

S/Sgt. Cory Bushell with East Hants RCMP in Enfield said police responded to a 911 call of an mvc and upon arriving officers quickly determined that one of the drivers involved showed signs of intoxication.

He said the man, 78, was asked to provide a sample of his breath into the breathalyzer and failed.

He has been released and will appear in court at a later date. He is facing impaired driving charges.
