Lions gear up for wing night Round 2

FALL RIVER: Round 2 of Lions Week night with COVID19 restrictions in place is set for tonight, June 18.

Organizers of the weekly event, hosted at the LWF Community Hall, thanked those who came out for the return last week, which was astounding. They say that they have worked out some of our opening night speed bumps.

“Apologies if anyone was upset with wait times for takeout last week,” a post on their Facebook page. “It was a record night for the Lions wing sales and the volunteers did their best to keep up.”

For this week, wing take out ordering will now be starting at 4 p.m. with the first pick up time at 5:30 p.m. and onward.

“Please do not leave a message, we will not be checking them,” the post said. “Call again if no answer until you speak with someone.”

The LWF Community Hall said for dining in, they had tons of room the whole evening so “come enjoy dining in and some cold beverages.” There are 15 tables available throughout the hall, with physical distancing kept top of mind.

Organizers said people can order their wings, grab some drinks and your food will be brought right to your table.

“We really hope to see you all and appreciate the community support for our community hall,” the FB post said.
