INDIAN BROOK: A 23-year-old man from Sipekne’katik has died after a single-vehicle collision on the afternoon of Jan. 13, RCMP confirm.

N.S. RCMP spokesman Sgt. Andrew Joyce said that at 2:47 p.m., Indian Brook RCMP along with EHS and local fire departments were paged to a single-vehicle collision on Hollywood Drive in Indian Brook.

The RCMP, attended the collision and found a car had crashed into a utility pole.

The driver, the 23-year-old man and lone occupant, had been ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A collision reconstructionist attended the scene and the investigation is ongoing. 

The road was closed for several hours and has since reopened.
