MULLINS, Margaret Eunice – Age 71, of Beaver Bank, passed away peacefully with family by her side at the Ivy Meadows nursing home on August 5, 2016. Born on May 5, 1945 in West Dover, she was a daughter of the late John Corney and Georgina Cleveland. A long-time resident of Minasville, then moving to the Sackville area in her later years. Margaret enjoyed dancing and being the life of the party, also doing lexicon and crossword puzzles. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Left with many fond and loving memories are her children, Ricky Macumber, Beaver Bank; Dean Macumber (Tacha), Mt. Uniacke; Laureen Hansford (Darren), Timberlea; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; also by numerous nieces and nephews. Margaret had a huge heart and cherished spending time with her children and grandchildren along with many other friends who she considered family. She was known for taking care of many children and taking them under her wing especially Curtis Laffin, Diana Doucette and Lori Dawn Boutilier who she considered the children of her heart. Predeceased by her long-time partner, Nathan Laffin; daughter, Eleanor Brown; son, Danny Macumber; brothers, Sinclair, Percy and Tom Young; sister, Gladys Gormley. A funeral service was held August 13, in the Atlantic Funeral Home, Sackville. Interment followed in West Dover Cemetery. Donations may be made to MADD Canada or Canadian Mental Health Association.
