N.S. reporting new case of COVID19 connected to Halifax-area school

ST. MARGARET’S BAY: The province announced on the night of Dec. 1 that one additional case of COVID-19, was identified today, Dec. 1, during testing. It is connected to St. Margaret’s Bay Elementary school in Central Zone.   

The school will be closed Wednesday, Dec. 2, for deep cleaning. Staff and students will receive notification from the school about reopening.

All close contacts in the school have been identified. Public health’s investigation continues, and the close contacts will be notified, tested and asked to self-isolate for 14 days if positive.
